On September 7, 2023, five students completed the Palliative Care Expert Nurse Training Course.

This course is one of the projects of the Cancer Professional Development Plan by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and is held in October every year for clinical nurses to improve their knowledge and skills in palliative care.

In this course, lectures and training on end-of-life care using the ELNEC-J program are provided to nurses, and six months later, they make a practical presentation based on their learning, and upon completion of the course, they are awarded the title of Palliative Care Expert Nurse.

In June of this year, the Kyushu Cancer Professional Development Plan for the Next Generation was accepted. We will continue to improve the quality of palliative care in Okinawa Prefecture by continuing to offer the Certified Nurse Specialist in Oncology Nursing Training Course and the Palliative Care Expert Nurse Training Course!
